I’m Back and So GratefulPastoral Letter from Rev. Seth Enriquez Dear St. George’s Family, After a month away on parental leave, I’m back, sleep deprived but happy, and really, really grateful for this church. It’s a rare and wonderful thing to step away and know, without a doubt, that everything is in good hands. And sure enough, thanks to all of you, things carried on not just smoothly but beautifully... The Anatomy of Sin16 March at 10am Why do we resist what’s good for us? Not just in the obvious ways but in the small, daily choices that pull us away from who we’re meant to be. Lent is a time to confront this, not with guilt but with honesty. This Sunday, we begin our Lenten series, The Anatomy of Sin: An Exploration of Sin and Other Uncomfortable Truths, by looking at rebellion. Not just rule-breaking but the deeper, quieter ways we resist God’s love even when we long for it. Join us this Sunday at 10am as we explore what this means for our lives. Stay after for coffee and conversation. We would love to see you. Celebrant: Readings: Genesis 15:1–12; Genesis 15:17–18; Psalm 27; Philippians 3:17–4:1; Luke 13:31–35 (Read now) Hymns: Trisagion (Listen now) Rock of Ages (Listen now) Turn your Eyes Upon Jesus (Listen now) Now and at the Hour (Listen now) Holy Forever (Listen now)

WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season! - How a Skeptical Philosopher Becomes a Christian Larry Sanger, a co-founder of Wikipedia turned Christian, dissects his own journey from skepticism to faith with the precision of a logician and the urgency of a man who has realized the limits of mere reason. You can watch a video of his journey here. - Why Everyone Should Believe that the Gospels are Reliable this eye-opening article lays out why the Gospels aren’t just ancient myths but some of the most reliable historical documents we have, backed by non-Christian sources, tons of manuscripts, and real eyewitness testimony—making them pretty hard to ignore. - Should “Sex Work” Be Legal? Exodus Cry unpacks why legalizing sex work doesn’t protect the vulnerable but instead fuels exploitation, trafficking, and deeper societal harm. - The Vagabond King In this haunting article, Paul Kingsnorth weaves history, myth, and faith into a meditation on Christ as the wandering King who upends the world’s empires and expectations. - The Efficacy of Prayer In this incisive article, C.S. Lewis dissects the dangers of moral busybodies and the creeping tyranny of well-intentioned control, reminding us that the road to hell is often paved with unchecked benevolence. - Worship Starts with a Pierced God In this gripping article, Esther Shin Chuang explores how extreme religious devotion—like Thaipusam’s body piercings—reveals a deep human hunger for transcendence, one that only Christ truly satisfies.
