Following Jesus in Real Life11 May at 10am What if the most meaningful life is one no one claps for We continue our sermon series Following Jesus in Real Life and this week take a quiet detour from the lives of St Peter and St Paul to spend time with someone whose story is easy to overlook Her name was Tabitha and she lived a life of steady faithfulness sewing clothes caring for widows doing good in ways that didn’t seem extraordinary unless you knew what the world around her actually valued. She didn’t live that way because it was expected but because she belonged to Jesus and that kind of belonging changes what matters. If you’ve ever wondered whether a quiet life of love and obedience counts for anything it does and maybe it always has. Join us at 10am this Sunday There’s space to think to breathe and maybe to see your own life with new eyes Coffee and conversation to follow We’d love to connect with you

In this opening sermon of our Eastertide series Following Jesus in Real Life, Rev. Seth explores two stories - one of pride, one of regret - and what happens when Jesus interrupts both with grace that wounds and heals, names and restores. The Weight of Small ThingsBlog by Rev. Seth There is a moment in Boyz n the Hood that has never really left me. Furious Styles takes his teenage son and his friend to a street corner in Compton, where a sign offers to buy local homes for cash. Around them is the aftermath of systemic neglect: liquor stores, gun shops, poverty, and gang violence. Furious explains how gentrification works, not just the displacement of people, but the erasure of a culture. And then he delivers a line that feels less like dialogue and more like diagnosis: The best way to destroy a people is to stop them from reproducing... For more infomation visit:
