The Third Sunday of Advent14 December at 10am "... Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." - Matthew xi. 11 How might you be invited to discover true joy in a world that is so uncertain? Are we searching simply a feeling of excitement or enjoyment of life, a consistently positive attitude amidst trying circumstances, or is it a deeper, relational way of being? Can joy exist alongside doubt, weariness and even sorrow? Can it take root not when everything is explained or fixed, but precisely in the waiting? On Sunday, we light the Candle of Joy, not as a fleeting emotion or seasonal cheer, but as a deep, steady reality rooted in God’s eternal plan of redemption. Advent joy holds space for longing, questions and trust, and invites us to recognize the quiet greatness of God at work among us. Please join us this Sunday at 10am and join us for a hot cup of coffee, conversation and joyously sweet treats.

Most of the time we move quickly. We respond to whatever feels urgent. We manage the day in front of us. But Advent slows us down and reminds us that the most important things in our lives are gifts.
