Scam Emails Alert

Hi everyone,

Scam emails are once again going around pretending to be from me (or “Senior Pastor Seth” or some variation). These messages usually say I have an urgent request and often ask for gift cards or money, while telling you not to call or text because I’m “in a meeting.”

These are scams. Please don’t respond.

Here’s how to stay safe:

• I will never email you asking for gift cards or money.

• All invitations to giving to our church happens in person or through our official church newsletters.

• Check the sender’s email address: if it’s not seth@stgeorgebanff.com, it’s not from me.

• Save my email in your contacts so you can easily verify it.

• Report and block any suspicious emails! Don’t reply or engage.
