How to Book Our Facilities

Thank you for considering St. George-in-the-Pines for your event. We'd love to host you.

To make sure our spaces are well managed and available when you need them, we use a simple Request & Confirm process.

  • Step 1: Review Our Spaces & Rates
    Explore the options below, including The Upper Room, The Church Nave, and The Pines Hall. Expand each dropdown to view capacities, amenities, and hourly rates.
  • Step 2: Fill Out the Request Form
    Complete the rental request form at the bottom of this page. Be sure to include your desired space, date, and start and end times.
  • Step 3: Await Confirmation
    Our team will review your request against the parish calendar and follow up with you. Please note that your date is not confirmed until we've approved the request and received your deposit.

The Upper Room

Seating Capacity 50

The Upper Room is a warm, light-filled gathering space with seating for up to 50 people. It's a great fit for small events, meetings, workshops, and community gatherings, and is also open during the week as a welcoming place to relax, read, or share a coffee with a friend.

Church Nave

Seating Capacity 110

Our historic church nave seats up to 110 people and is one of the most distinctive spaces in Banff. With its beautiful stained glass windows, grand piano, traditional pew seating, and flexible lighting, it works beautifully for concerts, ceremonies, lectures, and private events. Steps from the centre of town, it's a space that tends to leave an impression.

The Pines Hall (limited availability)

Seating Capacity 160

The Pines Hall is a spacious, light-filled venue with seating for up to 160 people, a well-equipped kitchen, and four washrooms. It's well suited for dinners, receptions, community events, and larger gatherings. Located near the centre of Banff, it's a versatile and welcoming space.

Please note: The Pines Hall has limited availability. Due to ongoing church ministries and weekday childcare use, rentals are generally limited to Sundays and select major events. Availability is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Rental Rates

  • $320 for a 4-hour minimum.
  • $55 for each extra hour.
  • Church hall overnight: $215 for 12 hours.
  • $215 for a 4-hours minimum.
  • $40 for each extra hour.
  • $150 for a 4-hours minimum.
  • $35 for each extra hour.

We are proud to support local nonprofits in the Bow Valley (Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, Exshaw, Deadman’s Flats) with discounted pricing.

  • Bookings are confirmed upon approval, signed agreement, and deposit.
  • Balance due on or before the event date.
  • Cancellations made 7+ days in advance receive a full deposit refund.
  • Church worship services, funerals, and parish events may occasionally take scheduling precedence.
Event Insurance

Proof of liability insurance is required for all rentals before a booking can be confirmed.
For your convenience, the Anglican Diocese of Calgary provides access to an online insurance portal where you can create an account, enter your event details, receive a quote, and purchase coverage directly. It's a straightforward process and we've included step-by-step instructions to help guide you through it.

Once purchased, please submit your proof of insurance as part of your rental confirmation.

St. George-in-the-Pines is an active Christian parish. Our facilities exist primarily to support worship, ministry, and community life, and we're glad to share them with the broader Banff community when we're able

Rental requests are reviewed based on availability and compatibility with the mission and values of the parish. Submitting a request does not guarantee a booking.
