The Life of Joseph: Uncovering Divine Wisdom in the EverydayDreams and Deception: God’s Sovereign Plans Amidst Jealousy and Betrayal In this new fall series, we'll delve into an Old Testament story of beautiful, divine wisdom: the life of Joseph. This week, we'll explore how Joseph’s dreams lead to jealousy and betrayal by his brothers, revealing God’s sovereign plans amidst human deception. This story points to the ultimate fulfilment in Jesus, who was also betrayed, but central to God’s redemptive plan. In this story, Joseph shares his dream of rulership, which leads to his brothers’ intense jealousy and betrayal, culminating in Joseph being sold into slavery. Joseph's story reveals a crucial theme throughout the Christian narrative, such as forgiveness, hope and love following intense betrayal. Just as Joseph was betrayed by his brothers out of jealousy, Jesus was betrayed by Judas, fulfilling God’s greater plan for salvation. God The Communist: The Rich Aren't SavedTell Me Strange Things... - Sunday, September 1, 2024 Tune into last week's sermon, given by Rev. Seth Enriquez, about money's often destructive separation of us from God. In today's world, we talk about almost everything—but money is the ultimate taboo, especially when it comes to someone telling us how to use it. Yet, Jesus' teachings challenge our assumptions. He confronts the rich young ruler with a tough choice: follow Him or hold on to wealth. This isn’t just one man's struggle—it’s a lesson for all of us about where our true loyalty lies. Jesus is clear: "You cannot serve both God and money." So, what does that mean for us today? Are we ready to let go of our earthly treasures to follow Jesus? This week, we’ll explore how Jesus calls us to rethink our values, trust in God’s provision, and why all of us face an ultimate choice. In God’s kingdom, our relationship with wealth is about much more than money. For more infomation visit: http://stgeorgesinthepines.com/media/2024-09-01-god-the-communist-the-rich-aren-t-saved
