The Second Sunday of Lent1 March at 10am All too often, we think of change as something we have to force. As a goal to achieve, a habit to fix, a better version of ourselves to construct. Yet Jesus says we must be “born again"... What does being "born again" have to do with Lent? How is "second birth" relevant in a season of fasting? Is Lent simply about giving something up, or is it about being made new? This Sunday at St. George’s, we are invited to see that this season is not about self-improvement, but about surrendering the entire scope of our lives to God. Fasting clears space for Him. It softens the soil. It prepares us for the miracle of Easter by first teaching us how to carry our crosses. Join us this Sunday at 10am for worship, reflection, and conversation, followed by coffee and something sweet to share.
