Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday

29 March at 10am

The King has arrived. Not with armies, banners, or gilded chariots, but on a donkey greeted by crowds and palm branches. It is a royal procession, but everything about it disbands our expectations of who our King is. He was Eternal, yet He emptied Himself, He brought humility amidst worldly demands, and instead of crushing His enemies, He was blessed for His enemies to crush Him. This is the beginning of Holy Week.

This Sunday at St. George's, we are invited to understand follow the One who defines true Kingship. On Palm Sunday, Jesus enters not to be seated on a throne, but to carry a cross, to be pierced... to die. We are called to lay down our own assumptions of who Christ is, but to believe the work Christ has done, not just in celebration, but in surrender to the Good News He has brought.

Join us this Sunday at 10am for worship, reflection, and conversation, followed by coffee, tea and a little sweet treat.
