The Rise and Fall of the Kings of Israel

So they ask for a king. Not because they need one exactly but because everyone else has one. They want to feel secure. To look the part. To stop being the odd ones with a prophet and a God you cannot see. And somehow that feels familiar.

This series is about Saul, David, and Solomon, men who were given everything and still unraveled. Not because they were not good enough but because the whole setup was off from the start. Their stories are ancient, yes, but the ache underneath them still beats through us. The desire to be in control. To be seen as legitimate. To trust our own plans and call it wisdom.

These sermons are not here to give pat answers or clean heroes. They are here to help us ask better questions. About what we want. About who we follow. About the kind of kingdom we are actually hoping for.

If you have ever wondered whether God really knows what He is doing. Or if you have ever gotten exactly what you asked for and still felt hollow. This might be for you. Sermons will be posted here each week. Come as you are.
