The Day of Pentecost8 June at 10am What if the love you are searching for is already reaching out to you, even before you know how to name it? This Sunday is Pentecost, the day we remember when the Spirit of God moved not with thunder and lightning from above, but with wind and flame among ordinary people. It is the moment the Church was born, not out of power, but out of presence. And maybe it still speaks. We will also be baptizing baby Josephine. And that is no small thing. In a world that constantly says you are what you accomplish, baptism is a stubborn act of grace. It says you are loved first. Join us this Sunday at 10:00 am, all are welcome. There will be a light reception after the service with coffee, snacks, good conversation, and maybe even a little joy. We would love to see you.
Celebrant:
Readings: Acts 2:1-21; Psalm 104:25-35; Romans 8:14-17; John 14:23-29 (Read now)
Hymns: Behold Him (Listen now) Come Thou Fount (Listen now) Amazing Grace (Listen now) Tethered To The Cross (Listen now) Yet Not I, But Through Christ In Me (Listen now)

Found: Love That Won't Let GoFollowing Jesus In Real Life - Sunday, June 1, 2025 What does it take to change a life? In this final message from Following Jesus in Real Life, Rev. Seth reflects on Acts 16, where a trafficked girl is freed, a jailer finds mercy, and Paul and Silas reveal the gospel through faithfulness. Not through strategy or eloquence, but through courage, compassion, and quiet trust in the darkest hour. When the world watches, what do they see in us? Religion and Science are Incompatibleand other myths we've believed - blog by Rev. Seth My wife and I rarely agree on what to watch. This is not, I’m told, unusual in a marriage. But I probably make it harder than it needs to be. I have a small collection of films and shows I revisit like familiar liturgies. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the slow-burn 1980 BBC version), Cromwell (the 1970 classic with Richard Harris and Alec Guiness), Mad Men, Persuasion, Field of Dreams, and always, Contact. The 1997 adaptation of Carl Sagan’s novel is not flawless, but it lingers. Jodie Foster plays a scientist driven by data, scarred by loss, and allergic to easy belief. Then she encounters something that resists proof but demands wonder. It is a film about science and faith that tries very hard not to be sentimental, and still ends up being just that... WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season! - Francis Collins, the scientist who led the Human Genome Project, tells the story of how he went from atheism to faith through science, beauty, and an honest search for meaning. - The Limits of Liturgy is a thoughtful look at how liturgy shapes us for better or worse and why simply following tradition is not the same as being formed by Christ. - The Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis' classic that helps us recognize the subtle ways we’re drawn away from God, offering sharp insight into spiritual struggle through wit, wisdom, and piercing truth. For more infomation visit:
