The Fourth Sunday after Pentecost29 June at 10am What do you do when fear creeps in and waiting feels impossible? This week we reflect on a moment in King Saul’s life when fear fractured obedience and what it cost him. We’ll also look to Jesus, who faced fear in the wilderness and chose trust instead of control. This message helps us wrestle honestly with our own impulses, the real losses that come from disobedience, and the deeper hope that remains when we turn to Christ. Join us this Sunday at 10am at St George’s. Stick around after the service. We’d love to share a coffee and get to know you.

Nations: Trading Trust for ControlThe Rise and Fall of the Kings of Israel - Sunday, June 22, 2025 What happens when we ask God for what we want instead of trusting what He gives? In this opening message of our new series, Rev. Seth explores the rise of King Saul, Israel’s first king and the people’s idea of strength. But beneath the surface is a deeper story about our desire for control, our rejection of dependence, and the kind of king we truly need. This sermon invites honest reflection on how we make decisions, what we trust, and whether Jesus is king of every part of our lives. WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season! - The Sexual Revolution Of The Roman Empire is an excellent video that offers a powerful reminder that the Christian vision of sexuality was radical, countercultural, and life giving from the very beginning and still speaks boldly into today's world. - Francis Collins, the scientist who led the Human Genome Project, tells the story of how he went from atheism to faith through science, beauty, and an honest search for meaning. - The Limits of Liturgy is a thoughtful look at how liturgy shapes us for better or worse and why simply following tradition is not the same as being formed by Christ. - The Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis' classic that helps us recognize the subtle ways we’re drawn away from God, offering sharp insight into spiritual struggle through wit, wisdom, and piercing truth. For more infomation visit:
