The Second Sunday after Pentecost15 June at 10am What does our deep longing for love and belonging say about the kind of true family we were made for? This Trinity Sunday, we reflect on the family of God as a communion of love—Father, Son, and Spirit. What does it mean that at the heart of everything is not isolation, but relationship? How might the understanding God as a family of love reshape the way we see ourselves, others, and what it means to belong? Join us this Sunday at 10:00 am, all are welcome. There will be a reception after the service with coffee, snacks, good conversation, and even joy. We would love to see you.

The Spirit & The WaterSunday, June 8, 2025 What if the world is more broken than we admit, and what if we are not just caught in it but quietly contributing to it, even as we try to be good? In this Pentecost message, Rev. Seth shares a personal reflection on baptism, grace, and the widely accepted idea that being a good person is enough. We are reminded that the real story is not about how much we understand or how well we perform. It is about the grace that finds us, claims us, and saves us before we even know how to ask. This is a message about the one who stepped into the water for us. About the truth we struggle to face and the love that carries us through it. Religion and Science are Incompatibleand other myths we've believed - blog by Rev. Seth My wife and I rarely agree on what to watch. This is not, I’m told, unusual in a marriage. But I probably make it harder than it needs to be. I have a small collection of films and shows I revisit like familiar liturgies. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the slow-burn 1980 BBC version), Cromwell (the 1970 classic with Richard Harris and Alec Guiness), Mad Men, Persuasion, Field of Dreams, and always, Contact. The 1997 adaptation of Carl Sagan’s novel is not flawless, but it lingers. Jodie Foster plays a scientist driven by data, scarred by loss, and allergic to easy belief. Then she encounters something that resists proof but demands wonder. It is a film about science and faith that tries very hard not to be sentimental, and still ends up being just that... WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season! - Francis Collins, the scientist who led the Human Genome Project, tells the story of how he went from atheism to faith through science, beauty, and an honest search for meaning. - The Limits of Liturgy is a thoughtful look at how liturgy shapes us for better or worse and why simply following tradition is not the same as being formed by Christ. - The Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis' classic that helps us recognize the subtle ways we’re drawn away from God, offering sharp insight into spiritual struggle through wit, wisdom, and piercing truth. For more infomation visit:
